Putting Nellie On The Needle

Georgia Seitz of the very popular online tatting class, put out a call to her students to help tat samples and rewrite the patterns for the designs in Nellie Hall Youngburg's book, "Forty Original Designs In Tatting". Georgia's hope is to preserve these patterns-as well as many others- for future generations of tatters to enjoy.

It was a major undertaking that was suppose to take us the whole summer to do. But low and behold the power of enthusiastic tatters. Rewritten patterns and reworked designs have been pouring in so quickly that this project may be well finished long before the kids start their back to school shopping.

Now that fun project is over, its time to knock out some more pieces on my tatting to-do list.
