Textile Artist Sidnee Snell

Have you seen the work of Sidnee Snell? She is a textile artist who makes quilts that look almost like paintings. I was captivated by her work when I watched a video about her. In it she talked about the process she uses to make her quilts. Her pieces are just beautiful works of art full of movement and vibrancy.

The quilt shown here is called Riveted. Her use of fabric to show the beauty of rust and age is just amazing. This is one of my favorite pieces from her collection.

Her work is inspiring and seeing the process that she goes through to creates her quilts just makes me appreciate them even more.
