Last night the in-laws came into town for the weekend. As they entertained our daughter, watching the movie, "Epic", my husband sneaked away to work on some homework online while I propped my swollen ankles in bed and enjoyed some quilting videos on PBS.org.
I found this interesting video from Nancy's Corner where a quilt appraiser gives a brief history on the Grandmother's Garden quilt pattern. I thought it was worth sharing with you.
How many of you remember growing up with a Grandmother's Garden quilt? We didn't personally own one, but I do remember seeing versions of the quilt in the homes of our neighbors. It was the quilt that has inspired me to pursue the hexagon in hand stitching.
