Call For Submission: Harrisville Designs Fall 2014

Harrisville Designs

You can follow the thread on Ravelry here.
HD Fall 2014 Indie Patterns
Harrisville Designs would like to work with independent designers who would like to publish their own patterns and collections with Harrisville Designs yarns. We think this would be a great way to provide our customers access to high quality patterns by independent designers and to help designers gain exposure throughout the knitting community.
All patterns would be published by the designers, with 100% of profits going to designers.
Terms
  • Designers would be responsible for photography, tech editing, and publication of their patterns
  • Harrisville Designs must be the only listed suggested yarn on patterns and on pattern listings on websites like Ravelry
  • Patterns must be available for wholesale purchase to yarn stores through Ravelry in-store and/or a distributor
  • Harrisville Designs will provide yarn support for accepted submissions
  • Harrisville Designs will promote your pattern through the HD website, HD blog, and other social media channels.
  • Patterns must be published within the agreed upon timeline. Failure to do so may result in the designer reimbursing the company (Harrisville Designs) for the wholesale cost of the yarn
What We’re Looking For
  • Designers must have the resources for high quality photography. Your self-published patterns will determine whether or not your submission(s) will be accepted
  • Single patterns and collections of patterns that are well written
Submission Requirements (Please include all of the following)
  • Contact information: Name, email, phone number, address, website, and Ravelry ID
  • Sketch, swatch (photo or scan), and description of your proposed design(s). Swatch does not need to be knit in Harrisville Designs yarns, but must accurately represent the weight and fiber of your requested yarn.
  • Rate the difficulty of your pattern on a scale of 1-5 with 1 as beginner and 5 as Experienced
  • Your timeline for when finished patterns will be published
  • Yarn information: include the style of Harrisville Designs yarn, color, and yardage needed for your submission(s).
Deadline
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, however we are currently looking for patterns to be published in Fall 2014. Only a certain number of spots are available for Fall 2014.
