I do find it fascinating how something so small can trigger action and movement in our lives. There is no noticeable reason to me as to why this heart had to be made. I've become use to this, "preparation before the need arise", sort of instinct that I have developed. But what really surprised me was the color I was drawn to use. A charcoal black, not a color that I would usually associate with lacy tatted hearts. This really caught me off guard.
But I chose not to question the color choice any further and proceeded with the making of this heart.
The heart is designed by Nancy Tracy, owner of Be-Stitched. The pattern is called the Clover Drop Heart.
I used Flora size 10 thread and size #5-0 tatting needle.
Here is the heart finished and blocked. Now it shall be put away until the need for it presents itself.
Have you ever tatted or made anything with no apparent reason why at the moment, only to realize later that it would turn out to be greatly needed?
