TNNA Winter Trade Show

The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA)

TNNA's winter show is in San Diego. I now live in San Diego. But yet again, I cannot attend. I don't meet the qualifications to become a member. Even though I am a designer, I have not been able to design for two wholesale TNNA members so that I can get my letters of introduction. It sucks. All that yarn fun just down the street from me and I can't even take a peek.

My goal this year is to qualify to become a member of TNNA. I would love to be able to see new yarns and publications before the rest of the public gets to see them. But what I really want to do is be able to volunteer at the different events, help other designers / yarn companies in their booths and learn as much as I can from those around me.

I guess I better get off the computer and start clicking away at the needles. Wish me luck!

She's Got Legs

Prada is stepping up their game this spring and showing us that leggings are not just for winter anymore. These 'I just stole my boyfriend's sport socks' style legging are thinner then their winter counterparts, but still adds their flare of fun to an outfit. (It also reminds us that the 1980's generation is still strongly influencing fashion.)

Shortening the length and adding a simple strip pattern will make these leggings by Cathy Carron almost an exact match to Prada.

Might I suggest this Pine Green yarn by Deborah Norville . . .

New York Fashion Week Day 7: Carrying On, Carry On

So now that New York Fashion week is over, how do we carry on until the next fashion season? With a great handbag of course. The Spring 2014 season showed the comeback of the structured, handled purse. A style that I much prefer when it comes to my everyday purse.

Structured Purses for Spring

I've selected a few looks that are sure to help carry you into the next season...and beyond.
